The serial number is a unique set of characters assigned to each radio. It is the only way to identify a unit and calculate the code for it.
Using some screwdrivers or the extraction tools, pull out the radio until you can see the label with the serial number on it. The serial always begins with the letter M followed by six digits. Example: M011792
It is not the most professional thing in the world, but you save yourself paying for the extraction keys and waiting until they arrive.

How to find the serial number
You need to remove the radio to find the serial number. It is located on the case side sticker. Removing it is very easy if you have the proper extraction tools, but you also can do it with two screwdrivers or nails, for example.
