How to enter the code

For some models it is enough to enter the code using the buttons and using 5 to send. For others, the process is a little more complicated:

• Ensure you can read CODE
• Repeatedly press button 1 until you see the first digit of the code
• Repeat the same with button 2
• Repeat the same with button 3
• Repeat the same with button 4
• Press button 5 to submit

My radio says LOCKED

To reset the Locked status (which appears when you enter wrong code ten times), try this:

• Ensure your radio is OFF
• Hold the button 6
• Turn the radio ON
• Keep holding button 6 for 10 seconds

If there is no success, try it again, sticking to the steps above. If there is still no success or you can read LOCKED 13 on the screen, then know your radio is "permanent" locked which means can't be fixed at home. You may try to visit a Ford dealer or radio specialist to fix it. In most cases, getting another radio unit is the best solution.

My radio says WAIT

The WAIT message appears after entering an wrong code. To remove it, all you have to do is leave the radio on for 30 minutes.
