Method 1 Hold buttons 1 and 6

Turn ON the radio so that you read "Code" on the screen. If instead, you read "Enter code", go to Method 2. Press and hold buttons 1 and 6 for three seconds. Be aware of all the information displayed on the screen for thirty seconds. The serial number appears in the last ten seconds with this format: V + 6 digits. Example: V200290.

Method 2 Hold buttons 1 and 6

If, when turning on the radio, it says "Enter code" instead of "Code", ensure the stereo unit is power ON and press buttons 1 and 6 for a few seconds. The serial number is composed by the last seven characters of the string shown. Example: From FDD2006M078787 only M078787 is the serial number you need.

Method 3 Removing the radio unit

If methods 1 and 2 did not work for you, the only way remaining to see the serial number is to take out the stereo unit. For this, you need some extraction keys that you can buy online or, you can try removing it with improvised tools like explained in the video above.

Once the top and side labels are visible, find the serial number using the V123456 or M123456 format.
